First, A Little About Me
I would like to welcome you to the home of my photography on the web. I was born and raised in Meridian, Mississippi and still live there today. As a result of being raised in the south, I have a love for this area, and my photography serves as a medium in which I can share the beauty of my home with many others who may or may not have had the opportunity to experience it the way I have. I feel like the south has had a bad reputation in one way or another for far too long, and it is my goal to change as many minds as I can. From the mountains of east Tennessee and north Alabama, to the flat farmland of the Mississippi delta, I cannot think of an area of the country that has more to see or contains so much natural beauty as the area we call the "deep south".I am also somewhat of a history buff. From an early age, I can remember my grandad loading me up in his little, blue volkswagen bug and setting off to explore historic sites around the south. I remember going to places like the Shiloh Civil War Park in Tennessee, the Vicksburg Military Park, the Petrified Forest in Flora, MS and, by far my favorite, the U.S.S. Alabama Battleship down in Mobile, AL. These are only a few of the places we visited that stick out in my mind, we went all over the place. It's this love of history that drives me to explore and take many of the pictures that I do. When I come across an old plantation house or rotten sharecropper shack, or even a decaying barn that's near collapse, visions of things that may have gone on here so many years ago run through my mind. It's amazing to me just to be able to walk up on the porch of an old shack and imagine that maybe 80 years ago, an entire family would sit around on this porch and talk about the days that lay ahead or maybe they even did a little pickin' on the guitar and sung some old blues tunes, who knows? Maybe I just have a vivid imagination, but history will always be something that fascinates me.
This whole photography thing all started in December of 2005 when my wife gave me a digital camera for Christmas. I had never even considered being a photographer, but I quickly became amazed at all the things it could do. I began to notice things around me that I had never taken the time to notice before and how easy it was to capture them. Simple things like clouds or the way that the sun was lighting a stand of timber. Now it seems I can't go outside without seeing all sorts of things that need to be photographed, which I would have overlooked not too long ago.
I'd like to thank my wife, Lisa, for starting all this. Little did she know, that one small gift would change my life. I'd also like to thank her for all the support she's given me in my pursuit of photography. She's my number one fan and I couldn't have done any of this without her.
Ordering Information
All photographs on this website are available for purchase in the form of prints or digital reproduction rights. Email Me for pricing information. Discounts are available for multiple prints.Photos can be printed using a wide variety of papers. Finishes include glossy, lustre, metallic, linen, pearlescent, and even a few different texures. Your new print will come cut to the size you specify and either rolled securely inside a mailing tube or mailed flat in padded shipping envelopes. I do this to provide the most framing options for you. This allows you to select the mat size and color that best suits your frame and decor. If you choose the shipping tube (which is the safest way to ship photos), I recommend laying the photo on a flat surface for a few days before matting or framing.
Shipping - I am flexible on shipping options. I can use any carrier or expedite any shipment. I generally use FedEx or USPS, but if you have a certain method of shipping that you would like, just let me know.
I am also available for custom shoots in portions of the southeastern U.S. – If you have a subject you'd like me to photograph, let me know.
If you know of a Mississippi or other southern place you'd like to see featured, contact me with the details and I'll make sure to get by there when I'm in the area.

In August of 2008, 5 of my photographs of the Mississippi Delta were selected to appear in The BB King Museum in Indianola, Mississippi. This was a great honor, since the Blues are a great love of mine. It's great to be able to contribute to honoring the legacy of someone who has given so much back to Mississippi and the Blues.
